Classic Train Stories about the Ozark Mountain Railroad set in the late 1940’s.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Aug. 20, 2018 – As #6200 sits forlornly in a scrapyard in the town of Crestline, Ohio, he thinks back to when he was younger and very much unique. He had been the great hope of the Pennsylvania Railroad when he was built, but due to some problems with his design and the new diesel engines making an appearance, he was now all but redundant. That is, until one day a diesel engine couples onto him and starts towing him away. Where is #6200 going? What will be his fate?
See where #6200 ends up and what his new life will be like, as the absorbing tale of the Ozark Mountain Railroad continues its legend of saving old engines from the breakers yard with this engaging and beautifully illustrated story.
Young children and adults alike will be captivated by the thrills and excitement of this fabulous bedtime read.
Isaac has always been fascinated with the railroad and history surrounding how it brought life to towns across the nation. He is currently a sophomore in High School (and a Freshman in College taking dual classes) and is an encyclopedia of railroad knowledge. His dream is to inspire children of all ages to learn about the impact of trains and perhaps one day build a line himself.
When he is not writing, you will find him in the Ozark Mountains enjoying all that life on a homestead provides. His beloved animals, LEGO trains, shooting sports, photography, art, science, survival skills, and reading are among his favorites.
